This study was designed to reveal the actual conditions of traffic safety education at schools for children with physical disabilities, including how education is conducted and the way teachers think about this education. Valid responses to our survey were obtained from 87 schools;the results of our study are summarized below:(I)Education in schools suitable for the problem of traffic safety for the disabled is inadequate.(2)Traffic safety education at schools for children with physical disabilities,it is necessary to have reallife instruction on actual roads.(3)There is litt1e instructional material that is suitable for use by children with disabilities.(4)There is a shortage experts who are able to provide instruction based on the different types of disabilities.
