This study is analysis the contents of news articles relating to nurturing of nurse and doctor, clarify the quantitative and qualitative changes for ten years, and consider how it is communicated to society. The results were as follow. 1 . The number of the articles has been largely increasing recently and recognized that should improve the nurturing environment of nurse and doctor as soon as possible. As the reason, there is a shortage of nurse and doctor, therefore the nurturing environment has been a focus of attention. 2. Clarifying the news articles relating to the nurturing based on the contents, the largest number of the articles is a shortage of nurse and doctor, followed by the nurturing of female health workers, child -raising assistance, letter from a reader, child -care center in a hospital and editorial. 3. An article relating to child-raising assistance increased from 1997 to 2003, but it has been decreased since 2003.The establishment of countermeasures to the falling birthrate, “Plus one" in 2002 and Law for Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation in 2003 gave a focus on the child -raising assistance.
