Research was conducted into what problems care takers who are responsible íor iníants. 90care takers attending a "child liíe support'’ workshop were asked to participate in a survey. 76 attendees (84%) responded. Challenges identified included: excessive íussiness with food and eating (íor example, being picky about food8};late bedtimes; and bad humor in the mornings. Also, care takers noted that children were difíicult to toilet train, tending to continue using nappies indefinitely. As regards child development issues, care takers reported various problems including children being unable to express feelings, or being not good at participating in group activities or interacting with other children. Care takers also commented that they did not always have access to the requisite medical knowledge to be able to judge the condition of child patients, and determine whether they needed to be taken to hospital or not. Care takers spend a lot of time with children, and asked íor specific direction regarding how to deal with the speciíic problems they coníronted in their work.
