The following paper is a phenomenological study conducted in order to research the details and meaning behind the training experience of Guided Imagery and Music(GIM) therapy by music therapists. Six music therapists who have all completed the training participated in this study and data were gathered through depth interview. Date were analyzed by using phenomenological research method of the Giorgi. The data analysis drew a total of 7 domains and 22 sub-domains. Research results have shown that the participants start the training with ‘resolutions for personal issues’ and ‘music therapist growth motivations’. At the start of the training, the participants had 'fear of self confrontation', 'doubts over its application', 'will to learn' and others. And, after experiencing ‘imagery and the power of music’, ‘personal change and professionalism’ were achieved through the integration of various training experiences.
