본 연구는 간호사에 의해 제공된 암성통증관리 교육이 재가암환자의 암성통증관리에 대한 인식과 태도에 미치는 효과를 파악하여 효율적인 간호중재 방안을 마련하고자 실시되었다. 동등성 대조군 전 후 설계의 순수실험 연구로서, 재가암환자에서 실험군 대조군 각각 31명을 대상으로 일반적 특성, 질 병관련 특성 및 암성통증관리에 대한 인식과 태도에 대해 사전조사한 후 실험군에게만 개별적으로 1 인 1회 30분간 교육을 실시하고, 사후조사는 1주일 후 실험군 대조군 모두에게 암성통증관리에 대한 인식과 태도를 조사하였다. 암성통증관리 교육을 받은 실험군은 교육을 받지 않은 대조군보다 암성통 증관리에 대한 인식이 더 높아지고 태도가 더 긍정적으로 나타났으며, 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이 가 있었다. 간호사에 의해 제공된 암성통증관리 교육이 재가암환자의 암성통증관리 인식을 높이고 태 도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 재가암환자의 효율적인 암성통증관리를 위 해 지속적이고 체계적인 암성통증관리 교육이 필요하다.
This study evaluated the impact of cancer pain management education on home care cancer patient's perception and attitudes using equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. We approached total 62 home care cancer patients (31 patients in the experimental group and 31 patients in the control group) in N area. One session taking 30 minute education of cancer pain management was provided to the intervention group. Statistical comparisons between groups were performed using analysis of variance (ANCOVA) and student's t-test using SPSS version 18.0. The experimental group's patients who received education about cancer pain management showed both higher perception and positive attitudes score than the control group patients. This research confirmed that the cancer pain management education to home care cancer patients can improve the patients' perception and attitudes. We should consider development of the continuous and systemic cancer pain education for the home care cancer patients' effective cancer pain management.
