The purpose of this paper is to examine whether human enhancement
through technical means can be a means for happiness. Whether human
enhancement through technical means contributes to happiness depends first on
what we understand happiness. Human enhancement may or may not affect
happiness, depending on whether you understand happiness from a subjective
point of view, such as balance of pleasure and pain or satisfaction of life, or
whether it is perceived to be related to the performance of a human-specific
function or the completeness of human abilities. It is also important to improve
which area of the human ability. In this paper, we discussed whether technical
improvements contribute to the promotion of happiness in relation to emotion
and virtue. And I looked at when the technical means was applied to me and
to someone else. However, factors affecting happiness are very diverse and
complex. No matter how advanced the technical means and the higher the level
of scientific understanding of humans, we wonder if we can have complete
control over happiness.
