The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of childcare teachers' general characteristics,
emotional bond and interchange relationship on personal efficacy, and to provide basic data necessary for
improving the competence of childcare teachers. The questionnaires were distributed to 450 childcare
teachers in D district from December 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016, and a total of 409 copies were used
for data analysis. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and
hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 statistical program. The results of this study were as follows: under the verification of the effects of early childhood teachers' emotional bond and interchange
relationship on personal efficacy, childcare teachers' age (β=.174, p〈.01), academic background (β=.1116,
p〈.05), emotional bond (β=.311, p〈.001), interchange relationship(β=.558, p〈.001) were statistically
significant(F=.11.313, p〈.001). In comparison with standardized coefficients, interchage relationship was
found to have a high level of influence. The explanatory power of this model was 13.2%. This implies
that childcare teachers' personal efficacy increases when the emotional bonds with infants, fellow teachers,
and directors are well formed and the interchange relationship is smoothly achieved through interaction such
as communication. Therefore, a program for improving interchange relationship is needed to promote the
personal efficacy of childcare teachers
