최근 5년간의 연구에서 임프란트 주위염의 빈도는 0%~14.4%로 다양하게 보고되고 있다.치태는 임프 란트 실패의 위험요소로 간주되고 있으며 구강위생이 불량한 환자들에서는 치태 및 치석 침착이 많으며 임 프란트 식립 부위로 감염이 간접적으로 파급될 위험 성이 있다. 임프란트 주변에서는 골상부 결체조직섬 유들이 임프란트 표면과 평행하게 주행하기 때문에 치태 침착 및 세균의 침투에 취약한 경향을 보인다
We performed a microbiologic analysis of peri-implant sulcus exudates from the patients with peri-implantitis and got the following results. 1. Gram positive microorganism such as streptococcus and gram negative microorganism such as Klebsiella pneumoniae were observed from the aerobic culture. 2. In the antibiotic sensitivity test, cephalosporins and vancomycin showed the high sensitivity against the cultured microorganisms. 3. After primary therapy such as mechanical therapy and/or surgical therapy was finished, the survival of implant could be extended as a result of periodic maintenance care.
