The purpose of this research is to present a suggestion to increase the organizational capacity
and organizational performance by analyzing the effect that the organizational capacity and
job attitudes - organizational commitment and job satisfaction - of the middle managers of
sign language interpretations centers nationwide have on their organizational performance.
The results are as follows: Firstly, in a centralized organization no direct effect takes place
on the organizational performance but a positive indirect effect on the job performance exists
by the increased organizational capacity and job attitude. Second, it appeared that among
the subfactors of organizational capacity the average of job performance was highest while
personnel management showed the lowest distribution. Meanwhile, organizational commitment
and job satisfaction were fairly well conducted along with organizational performance. Third,
it appeared that the entire organizational capacity and among its subfactors, strategic area,
organizational area, personnel management and control method all have a significant effect
on the organizational performance. Fourth, organizational commitment and job satisfaction
partially mediated the relationship between organizational capacity and job satisfaction,
therefore indirectly affecting the organizational performance. The results above suggest that
a fair personnel management and improvement in the organizational climate is necessary in
order to improve organizational performance through total autonomy, organizational
commitment, and job satisfaction of the middle managers of the SLIC's.
