본 연구는 청각장애가 있는 대학생의 가족 내 의사소통의 중요성에 주목하 여, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통방법의 일치성이 개방적 및 문제적 의사소통과 부 모지지를 매개로 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 총 106명의 청각장애 대학생의 자기보고식 설문 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 구 조방정식모형을 통해 분석한 결과 첫째, 문제적 의사소통은 부모-자녀 간 의 사소통방법의 일치여부가 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 부적(-)으로 유의하게 매개하였다. 둘째, 개방적 의사소통과 부모로부터 받는 지지감은 의사소통방 법의 일치여부와 자기효능감 간의 관계에서 순차적인 이중매개효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 본 연구결과는 청각장애 대학생의 자기효능감 유지를 위해서는 가족 내 상호 일치된 의사소통방법의 공유, 개방적 의사소통 및 부모지지의 강화, 문제적 의사소통의 감소를 위한 노력이 필요함을 시사하여 끝으로 이를 위한 장애인복지적 함의를 논하였다.
This study examined the effects of consistency of parent-adolescent communication methods on self-efficacy, and investigated mediating effects of open/problematic communication and parent support among colleges students who are deaf. Data were drawn from a questionnaire study of 106 deaf college students. Using structural equational modeling, the result revealed that the effect of consistency of parent-adolescent communication methods on self-efficacy was negatively mediated by problematic family communication. Second, open family communication and parent support showed significant double mediating effects on the relationship between the effect of consistency of parent-adolescent communication methods and self-efficacy. These findings implied that in order to promote deaf college students’ self-efficacy, families need to share consistent communication methods so as to enhance open communication and family support, whereas parents need to reduce problematic communication style.
