The purpose of this study was to systematically develop a forgiveness educational program for for elementary school students and to validate the program. The process of this study is researched, analyzed, designed, developed and applied. It was reviewing the literature and surveyed , exploring the experiences of teachers, the factors of the program were extracted. It developed final program by pilot test, expert of theorise, on the spot expert. As a result, this program was consisted of 10 sessions. To verify the hypotheses, the Forgiveness Inventory of Enright is used. Study subjects was one class among fifth grade students of S elementary school in Daejeon. The statistical results are analyzed by Mixed ANOVA. Experience reports of each sessions and observations by counselor were analyzed in order to supplement the reliability limits of quantitative result. The results from this study are as follows, sample group showed that the forgiveness level of experimental group were improved significantly comparing with the control group. The meaning of this study can be found in that developed program for forgiveness is one way for elementary school children to cope with hurts from human relations and it improved the forgiving ability of the children.
