본 연구는 만 5세 유치원생을 대상으로 대화식 읽기가 수용어휘 학습 및 표현어휘 학습의 개선에 효과가 있는지를 알아보고자 시도되었다. 본 연구에서 사용된 대화식 읽기 프로그램은 와이트 허스 트 모델을 기반으로 하였다. 본 연구에 참여한 유치원생 48명 중, 실험집단의 유아들은 총 8회기의 대화식 읽기 훈련을 받았다. 연구 결과, 대화식 읽기는 5세 유아의 수용어휘 및 표현어휘의 학습의 개선을 촉진시킨 것으로 나타났다. 개선효과는 유아의 어휘력 수준에 따라 상이하였으며 어휘력 하 위 수준의 유아에게서만 효과적인 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 논의와 시사점 및 제한점 등이 제시되었다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of dialogic reading on improvement on learning receptive and expressive vocabulary among 5-year-old kindergarteners. Dialogic reading program used in this study was based on White Hust model. Participants were divided into upper and lower groups based on their vocabulary level with 48 participants for each group. The main findings of this study are as follows. Dialogic reading promoted the improvement of learning both receptive and expressive vocabulary of children. Improvement effects varied based on the vocabulary levels of children. It was found to be effective only for the participants at lower level vocabulary group. Implications and limitations are discussed based on these results.
