본 연구에서는 어머니와 교사의 반복 평가를 통해 유아기 외현화 문제행동 발달경로의 형태를 확인 하고, 이에 영향을 주는 유아 기질의 영향력을 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경기도에 거주하는 유아 165명이었다. 동시대집단 시계열설계를 적용하여 잠재성장곡선분석을 실시한 결과 첫째, 어머 니와 교사 모두 외현화 문제행동에 대해서는 선형적으로 감소하는 발달경로를 보고하였으나, 변화 율의 개인차는 어머니 보고 자료에서만 유의미하였다. 둘째, 외현화 문제행동 발달경로의 초기치에 영향을 주는 요인에 대해서 어머니 보고 자료에서는 자극추구와 외험회피 기질의 영향력이 유의하 였으며, 교사 보고 자료에서는 자극추구의 영향력이 유의미하였다. 변화율에 대해 유의미한 영향력 을 갖는 변인은 교사 보고 자료에서는 인내력 기질로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 유아를 상 담하고 문제행동을 평가할 때 다양한 정보원을 활용할 필요성이 있음이 논의되었다.
This study sought to explore the form of developmental trajectories of externalizing problem behaviors among preschoolers via repeated evaluations by their mothers and teachers. Further, the effects of children’s temperaments on the developmental trajectories were examined. Subjects were 165 preschoolers in the metropolitan area of Seoul. Latent growth curve modeling analysis with cohort sequential design revealed that externalizing problem behaviors reported by both informants gradually decreased, but the variances in slope were significant only for mother-reported data. Factors significantly affecting the initial value of developmental trajectories were high novelty seeking and harm avoidance for mother-reported data, and high novelty seeking for teacher-reported data. A factor that had significant effects on the variance was persistence for teacher-reported data. The implications of results were discussed in terms of the importance of using multiple informants when assessing and counseling preschoolers.
