동아대학교석당박물관에서 시행하고 있는 교육프로그램은 박물관이 가지고 있는 문화유산을 토대로 이를 활용하는 프로그램으로 구성되어 있다. 그 대표적인 예를 들면 생생문화재사업과 문화예술 최고위과정이다. 전자는 문화재청이나 지자체의 도움을 받아 이루어지는 무료교육인 반면, 후자는 수강생들의 등록금을 기반으로 하는 유상교육이다. 무ㆍ유상이라는 차이는 있지만 석당박물관이 가지고 있는 문화유산을 토대로 교육프로그램을 실시하는 점에서는 서로 같다. 2009년부터 실시하고 있는 생생문화재사업은 등록문화재 제41호인 부산 임시수도 정부청사이면서 석당박물관으로 사용하고 있는 건물과 역시 등록문화재 제494호로 지정된 부산전차를 활용하여 근대역사 이야기를 주된 테마로 하여 이루어지고 있다. 한편, 2013년부터 실시하고 있는 문화예술최고위과정은 현재 박물관에서 전시중인 보물 제595호 자수 초충도 병풍, 보물 제1810호 황리현명 청동북 등의 주요문화재를 직접 보면서 듣는 현장 강연으로 진행하고 있다. 이러한 석당박물관의 교육프로그램 운영의 경험을 바탕으로 대학박물관의 교육프로그램의 역할과 방향을 제시하고, 박물관의 전시에 따른 도록 발간은 물론, 다른 분야와의 접목을 통한 문화 콘텐츠개발과 활용, 대학 구성원을 위한 교육 성과 등을 분석한다. 아울러 빠르게 변화하는 사회 요구에 즉각 부응할 수 있는 대학박물관이 되기 위해서는 전문인력 양성 프로그램 개발, 문화소외계층을 위한 프로그램 개발, 청소년을 위한 프로그램 운영, 지역민을 위한 시설 개선 및 개방 등이 필요하다.
Seok Dang Museum of Dong A Univ. has some educational program, such as Saeng Saeng services on the cultural heritage and the advanced course of culture and art, which are based on the cultural heritage in Seok Dang Museum of Dong A Univ. Saeng Saeng services on the cultural heritage is a free course helped by Cultural Heritage Administration and a local self-government. But the participants of the advanced course of culture and art pay their tuition. Both courses have differences of free or charged, but they are the educational program using the cultural heritage in Seok Dang Museum of Dong A Univ. Saeng Saeng services on the cultural heritage, since 2009, provide the modern korean history using the building(registered cultural property No.41) which was temporary government office in Busan and the old streetcar(registered cultural property No.494). Also the advanced course of culture, since 2013, provides some lectures on cultural properties like the embroidery folding screen (Important Folk Cultural Property No.595), Whang Li Hyun Myung bronze drum (Important Folk Cultural Property No.1810) and so on. Based on the experiences of educational works in Seok Dang Museum, we can guide a role and a direction of educational programs and publish brochures and pamphlets of exhibitions, as well as develop the culture contents crossover to other fields. To be the available museum adapted to fast changed times we study the development and activities of programs for specialists, disadvantaged people and teenagers and need the improvements and welcoming for community people.
