This study examined the effects of career exploration program on career maturity. In recent education,
there is a high interest in career education for a happy life that can discover the interests and talents of
each individual student and provide opportunities for appropriate education to them. As a response, curriculum
integration career education is emphasized. Especially, based on curriculum integration career education
with art subject, we can expect effective practices that students can induce internalization, self-inquiry,
and visual expression through arts. Thus, this study developed 12 lessons for 78 middle school learners
which can help them to shift from self-understanding to career exploration based on character and
strengths of art subject and design and explore career. As a result of conducting career maturity level of
experiment group, there were significant differences in overall score and comparisons between domains
of career maturity level before and after classes. Therefore, this study is meaningful since it examined possibility
of providing opportunity to learners to consider and plan one's career based on self-expressive and
introspective strengths of art.
