기술과 사회의 빠른 발전에 비해서 한국 교육의 발전은 매우 더딘 모습을 보여주고 있다. 교육은 인간의 삶에 있어 중요한 행위 중 하나로 교육을 통해서 인간은 성장하고 발전한다. 과거의 암기위주 객관주의식 교육방식은 한국교육과 바람직한 인간형을 획일화 하였으며 미래지향적 인재를 만들어 내는데 한계를 드러냈다. 한국 공립학교의 일반 교육은 객관주의 교육방법을 기반으로 이루어져 교사 중심으로 수업이 진행된다. 다수의 학생이 한 학급을 이루어 한 명의 교사가 일방적으로 수업 내용을 학생들에게 전달한다. 학생들은 연령에 맞추어 순서대로 학습을 진행하며 이해도를 확인하기 위하여 한국의 학생들은 년마다 정기적으로 정해진 시험을 치른다. 이와는 반대의 개념을 가지고 있는 구성주의는 교사 중심의 수업이 아닌 학습자 중심의 수업을 지 향한다. 소수의 인원으로 진행되며 학생 스스로 이해하고 경험을 통해 학습한다. 자유로운 분위기에 서 학습할 수 있는 환경 위에서 학습자는 학습한 내용을 스스로 응용하며 익힌다. 구성주의 교육을 통해 학생들은 스스로 탐구하고 이해하며 학습할 수 있는 능력을 기른다. 본 연구에서는 구성주의 교 육과 객관주의 교육을 비교함과 동시에 설문조사와 통계 분석을 통해 구성주의식 수업이 학습자의 실력과 자발적인 문제해결력 향상에 얼마나 도움이 되는지를 알아보고자 한다.
The technology and society are rapidly developing, but Korean education system is slowly developing. Education is a kind of important activities for human life. Rote learning based on objectivism makes human think uniformly and has a limitation of growing future-oriented person. Korean public schools based on objectivism education focuses on teacher-centered learning. A class consists of lots of students and a teacher controls all lessons and students. Students study many courses fixed according to their ages. They regularly take tests for checking their knowledge skills. On the contrary to this, constructivism prefers a learner-centered learning environment. There are classes with small group for discussion, and students learn on their unique experiences. Students study what they want in an atmosphere of freedom and they construct and understand their knowledge by self-directed learning method. This research is aimed to compare education on constructivism and objectivism and to investigate curriculum effectiveness of a special alternative school based on constructivism through questionnaire survey analysis.
