The aim of this study is to analyze the effects of organizational culture of employees at welfare
facilities for the elderly on self leadership. The study group was a group of employees 200 at a welfare
facility located in OO city, Gyeongsangbuk-do. A self-reported questionnaire was distributed to the subjects
from June 1st ~ July 31th of 2017 and 200 copies were used for data analysis after excluding the 10
copies with inappropriate responses. For the analysis method, we utilized the SPSS program to carry out a
frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis. The study results
showed the following: first, the effects on organizational culture and self leadership according to the general
characteristics of employees at welfare facilities for the elderly showed higher than average for both
organizational culture and self leadership. Second, organizational culture of employees at welfare facilities
for the elderly showed to have a significantly positive effect on self leadership. The implications of this
study will be used as baseline data when developing programs for improving the self leadership of
employees at welfare facilities for the elderly.
