This study investigates early childhood pre-service teachers’ self-regulated learning ability on
Web-BBS and their satisfaction in utilizing it. In addition, this study examines the application of the
self-regulated learning ability in pre-service early childhood teachers’ education and presents suggestions
related to it.
The subjects were 42 early childhood major students who took the course “Influences on Early
Childhood” during the first semester of 2006 and they participated in this study for 8 weeks. In order
to identify the differences of two groups’ self-regulated ability on Web-BBS and satisfaction in utilizing
it before and after the test, T-test was conducted. The finding revealed that pre-service teachers’
self-regulated ability and satisfaction in using Web-BBS were statistically meaningful when the group
whose learning ability was more than average.
