본 연구는 Mercer Mayer에 의해 1983년에 출판된 그림책을 전자책으로 만든 CD-ROM Title “할머니와 둘이서”의 교육적 가치를 분석하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 우선 본고에서는 이 전자책의 특징과 내용들을 CSR(Children’s Software review) 평가준거를 이용하여 재검토해보았으며, 이로부터 유출된 결과와유아교실에서 만 3, 4, 5세 어린이들이 이 소프트웨어에 대해 보여준 반응을 중심으로 그 교육적 가치를분석 및 평가해 보았다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 이 CD-ROM 타이틀의 교육적 가치가 1)재미있는 애니메이션, 2)어린이 정서에 맞는 동화내용, 3)정적사고를 동적사고로 바꾸어준 것, 4)연령에 따라 몰입할 수 있는 다양한 메뉴로 구성된 점에 있었음을 발견하였으며, 따라서 이와 같은 점들을 앞으로 유아를 위한 소프트웨어 개발에서 고려해야 할 점으로 제안하고 있다.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the educational values on the CD-ROM title, “Just Grandma and Me” which was originally published as a paper book in 1983. For the study, the researchers reviewed the contents and characteristics of the e-book first, following the menu of this CD-ROM title and second, using CSR(Children’s Software Review) estimating standards. Additionally, the researchers interviewed 3, 4, 5 year-old children which were randomly sampled in a classroom. As a result, this study figured out the educational values in terms of 1)interesting animations, 2)story that is matched to the children’s emotion, 3)transforming the static story to the dynamic, 4)different menu which children can be into according to their ages. Therefore, the study suggests that these points should be considered in developing softwares in future.
