The purpose of this study was to evaluate management model of the private independent high schools. Through this evaluation, the researchers tried to find implications and suggestions for the future of the school system. For this purpose, self-evaluation by the school staffs and site-visiting by educational experts in high school education were conducted. Surveys were also utilized for the comparison of the school members\' responses with those of local schools and national school evaluation data. According to the evaluation results, diversity and specialization as well as the level of school autonomy were enhanced. High level of school satisfaction supported the enhanced quality of school system. In reply to dissenting opinions, the evaluation results did not support that the school management was oriented to college entrance-exam preparation. However, there were a couple of indirect evidences supporting so called \"school for nobles\" Based upon the evaluation results, implications and suggestions for the future of the school system were discussed.
