The purpose of the present study was to verify the relationship of mother\'s rearing attitudes perceived by adolescents with their self-esteem and achievement motivarion. The main results of the study were as follows First, maternal warmth and rejection/restriction was significantly related with adolescents\' self-esteem. Adolescents who experoenced higher maternal rejection/restriction showed lower self-esteem.
