본 연구에서는 우선 장애인의 고등교육기회 제공과 수업에서의 지원, 그리고 수업 지원에서의 저해요인에 대한 대학교수의 인식 수준을 알아보고자 했으며, 둘째로 교수의 개인 변인이 장애학생 수업 지원에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 있다. 이를 위해 S 대학교의 교수를 대상으로 한 설문을 실시하였으며 이를 토대로 교수의 인식 수준을 분석하였다. 연구 결과에서 대학교수의 장애학생에 대한 전반적인 인식 수준은 높은 편이었으나 본 연구에서는 낮은 인식 수준을 보이는 문항에 대해 집중적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, 교수가 장애인의 실질적 고등교육 접근과 관련된 문항(대학입학, 강의수강 관련 문항)에 대해서는 비교적 낮은 인식수준을 보여주고 있었으며, 둘째, 교수는 조정적 지원에 대해 보조적 지원보다 낮은 인식 수준을 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 장애 대학생 수업의 저해요인으로 대학요인을 가장 큰 저해요인으로 나타나고 있다. 마지막으로 교수의 개인적 배경 변인에 따른 인식의 차를 살펴본 결과, 본 연구는 단과대학별로 장애학생 지원에 대한 교수의 인식이 달리 나타날 수 있음을 암시하고 있다. 이러한 결과를 통해 본 연구는 대학에서 교수에게 장애학생 수업에 대한 지원 가이드의 제공과 장애학생의 장애특성과 학습특성에 대한 정보를 제공해야 할 필요성을 시사하고 있다.
The awareness of university professor about students with disabilities could be one of the significant factors for disabled students to take their course work successfully. This is because, during a lecture, professor could be a most important service provider to students with disabilities. Thus this study investigates three aspects of awareness of professor about students with disabilities in S university by questionnaire; 1) awareness of accessibility in university 2) awareness of providing specific accommodations in their lectures 3) awareness of barriers in providing services at university. In addition, in this study also examines the effects of professor\'s background variables. As a result, in general, most professor percept positively toward necessity of providing opportunities to students with disabilities, but also represent relatively low level of perception in practical accessibility: entrancing university and attending a lecture. In addition, the results of this survey imply that faculty members have at least a basic knowledge of characteristics of specific disabilities. This finding provides some valuable information, such as: a beginning point in order to increase faculty members\' knowledge of the characteristics of specific disabilities in order to strengthen the commitment that a quality education program is available and accessible to all. Finally, in this study, departmental affiliation or the academic unit that the faculty worked or was attached to had a significant effect on attitudes. key words : higher education of people with disabilities, supporting service of special needs students in university
