애착은 ‘인간 자신을 돌보는 주양육자에 대하여 형성하는 강하고도 지속적인 정서적 유대’이다. 애착은 또한 영유아가 양육자와의 끊임없는 상호작용을 통해 내재화하면서 형성하는 지속적인 관계이며, 애착을 통해 사회적 환경에 대한 기본적 신뢰와 안정감을 발달시킨다는 점에 대해서는 일관된 견해들이 있다. 유아가 발달함에 따라 애착도 다소 달라질 수 있으나 그 본질이나 지속성에서 크게 변함이 없을 것이며, 사회적 환경과 경험에 따라 변화하는 애착안정성은 유아의 인지, 사회․정서 발달 등에 영향을 미친다(Crittenden, 1992)고 보고되고 있다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of young children-teachers attachment on their emotional intelligence. The data was collected by questionnaires method from 53 teachers of 243 children. The instruments were teacher-child attachment and children\'s emotional intelligence. The results of the study were as follows : (1) Children\'s attachment to teachers differed according to children\'s sex, age. (2) Children\'s emotional intelligence differed according to children\'s sex and age. (3) Children\'s emotional intelligence meaningfully related to teacher-child attachment. And children\'s self regulation and other regulation were more associated with children\'s attachment to teachers than self awareness and other awareness.
