Unidirectional polymer coposites were using high-strength carbon as reinforcemrnt and phenolic resin as matrix precursor with keeping fiber volunm fraction at 30,40,50 and 60% resprctively. These composites werw carbonized at 1000℃ and graphitised at 2600℃ in the inert atmospere. The carbonized and graphitised composites werw characterized for mechanical proper ties as well microstructure.
