In the school class of low vision students, what is preferentially needed is reading guidance. Accordingly, in low vision students\' education, the most important task is how they should carry out reading effectively.
This study, in order to suggest effective guidance plans for this, was to analyze the psychological reading characteristics of low vision student. For the purpose of carrying out this, the study was carried out centering the results of the previous study of the print reading and the number reading concerning the reading function and the psychological reading characteristic of eyes, the interpretation of the reading materials and reading power, misreading and simulation reading, the reading of low vision students and non-handicapped students, the reading according to letter styles and the reading according to acuity and the comparison of readings according to reading magnifiers.
Conclusively, through the analyses of the study results, this study was to provide the theoretical base to understand the reading characteristics of low vision students, and furthermore, as the new counterproposal, in order to provide the five reading guidance plans such sentence, the guidances of rapid reading the utilization of optical devices and the amelioration of reading environments.
