한중 두 나라의 역사적 관계를 살펴볼 때 연극문화적 분야에서도 적지 않은 교섭 내지는 상호작용이 있었을 것으로 여겨지나, 정작 이 분야에 대한 의문을 풀어줄 성과물은 찾기가 쉽지 않은 형편인 것 같다. 필자가 스스로의 몽매함을 인정하면서도 양국 전통극사의 비교 연구라는 의도를 품게 된 것은 이때문이며, 이는 마치 목마른 자가 샘을 파는 격이라 할 수 있을 것이다. 한중 두 나라 전통극사를 비교 연구하기 위한 작업의 하나로 이 글에서 다루고자 하는 대상은 優戱이다. 우희는 ‘배우의 놀이’ 정도로 이해할 수 있을 듯 한데, 이것이 문제되는 이유는 전통시기 배우와 그들의 놀이가 두 나라 모두 전통극의 형성과 전개 과정에서 긴밀한 연관성을 지니기 때문이다. 어떤 놀이는 놀이의 차원을 지나서 연극의 실체라 할 수 있고, 그러한 연극의 실체는 전통극사의 중심적인 맥락과 맞닿아 있기까지 하다.
The purpose of this study is mainly related to two subjects. One is to describe the mutual relationship between actors\' plays of Korea and China. The other is to explore an issue in the history of Korean falk drama which is the relationship between \'Sohakchihee\' and mask drama. The former subject is discussed in three parts. The first part is related to actors. From two aspects, terms and type of existence, it can be said that there is possibility of relationship. The second part is related to plays. From several aspects, it is possible to say that there is possibility of relationship either. The third part is related to drama which is included in plays. This type of drama has two specific characteristics, action and words. According to these characteristics, it is possible to conclude that there is no distinction between both country\'s dramas. Exploration about the latter subject is a trial based on considered result before. As a result of it, there is much possibility that \'Sohakchihee\' tradition can be connected to mask drama. And the possibility of this connection is mainly depend on two eliments, mask and dance.
