The special feature of this essay is ghost stories which are popular among university students, and the places for such stories are limited to school. However, there are some differences between the level and contents of the ghost stories that university students talk about compared to the ones from K-12 level students. The differences are caused by the age categories as well as position of the subjects in society in which college students are accepted as adults. Typically, most of their stories are based on their experiences. In the past, stories descended from traditional evil spirit type stories made up a mainstream of such stories. Nevertheless, such stories are based on the topics of employment, love combined with traditional shamanism concepts such as fung-shui in present time. This is a case that interest in the story of traditional evil spirits is getting weaker in general public. Changing trend in the content of such stories is closed linked to obstacles these students face in real life. If the story contents have no basis on reality, they tend to take characteristics of folktales rather than fear. However, stories popular nowadays reflect social issues and are also more strongly applied as means of solving real life issues through sculptures like bronze statues or towers. The trend implies that the interests of university students have switched to real stories reflecting current issues in their everyday life. The ghost stories traditionally had come down with a focus on people\'s interest. Now, however, events or experiences that have an effect on the students integrated into stories. This reflects the fact that the students have less spare time in their lives. The position of the university student is closely connected with social life than the elementary and middle school or high school student. After graduating from a college, most of students can help not but throw themselves into realms of the society. They can not enjoy their campus life as previous generations had done in the past, and as a result stories based on rich imagination became out of their favor. While there are some limitations as to discussing ghost stories sorely based on from university students\' interests. We should investigate their interests through additional surveys and the like. In this essay, therefore, there is some limitation that draws just the types of the ghost story which has attracted by university students and the students\' interests through the types. This part, afterwards, will be complemented through a far-reaching interview survey.
