The Korean Council on Social Welfare Education was organized in 1966 to improve social work professors mutual support and engage international connections at the beginning, and became an incorporated body authorized by ministry of Health and Welfare in 2002. This study is based on analyzing current issues and main concerns of the council related with social welfare curriculum, supply of human resources, professional human power in social welfare education. These issues have originated an excessive set up social welfare related department all over the country and needed to discuss how to deal with inundated social welfare education where they are lacked of social welfare curriculum and professionals. This author is strongly proposing to have a legally approved accreditation standards and body by this council for social welfare curriculum and hire professors solving this problem. So, the following questions will be given visional perspectives to the council for the future direction: what features can be given to be continue and remain as members and member schools; we do believe that the accreditation is the most important issues to be actualized, but what merits and weak points thereafter; how long and how far social welfare education will be expanded, like present situation, then, do we have any alternate surplus or energy; what the council prepares and develop to adjust and correspond to the time of globalization since the Korean society has become a country with diverse people and cultures, are we enhancing to develop culturally competent educational curricula and training programs for the students who will be able to deal work with the diverse group of people?
