This research is purposed to provide fundamental data for single parent and his/her children to live getter live as studying on legal status of single-parent and major policy and projects for single-parent and figuring out problems and solutions. For this purpose, at first, the concept of single-parent is described, and then, investigate on object, salary, delivery method, finance, and the related law in aspects of welfare policy for single-parent. Furthermore, it suggests problems and solutions of welfare system for single-parent and children as studying on facility conditions and major programs. Particularly, this research suggest practical maintenance method for welfare of single-parent through dividing problems and solutions into two aspects: political aspect and practical aspect. Representative problem is the lack of legal support and facility. As the solution, it suggests to operate single-parent supporting team and integrated supporting service that have legal authority based on the relevant information and statistic data.
