웹을 기반으로 한 협동학습 시스템의 경우 학습자 모두가 공동의 학습 목표를 가지 고 원활한 사회적 활동을 통해 학습 과제를 해결 할 수 있는 학습 환경을 조성해 주는 것이 중요하다. 그러나 시간과 공간의 제약을 극복하여 학습 컨텐츠에 접근할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있지만 이를 지원하고 적용하기 위한 적절한 상호작용 도구가 부족할 뿐 만 아니라 기존에 개발된 협동학습 시스템의 경우 대화방의 형태가 대부분이어서 학습 자간의 상호작용이 원할 하지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 웹기반에서 다양한 상호작용을 통하여 학업 성취도 향상에 도움을 주는 동기-비동기적. 통합적인 기능을 가진 협동학습 시스템을 설계하며 개발하는데 연구의 목적을 둔다.
In the web based educational settings, how to interact between the student and teacher, among students are very important by the Internet. The reason is as follow, because the interaction becomes the very educational communication and helps the growth of social characters. As Socrates\' teaching, good education consists of an endless communication. Therefore interpersonal interaction is essential for a good educational environment. In this study, a web based collaborative learning system is designed and implemented to improve learner\'s social interaction. Moreover, I proved the functional effectiveness of system through an experiment.
