Learning through playing and games has been known to lead to positive effects
on high achievements and learining attitude for low-achieved students in
mathematics. However, although internet has been widely used in everyday life,
studies on edugames based on edutainment and PC games for low-achieved students
have not been actively conducted. Therefore, this paper presents a design and
implementation detail of an RPG edugame which is more than a simple design of a
game. The proposed system is based on GBS(Goal Based Scenario) theory whose
purpose is on the formation of concepts and improvement on problem solving, while
performing some tasks in the background of an interesting story. Moreover, it
excelerates self-motivating learning for improving achievements and learning
attitudes of low-achieved students in mathematics.
