The aim of this study is to the check the current standings of pastoring for the old and to set the standards for the church\'s roles and directions in pastoring the old. For this, we reviewed features of old aged person, their roles in religion and pastoral support. According to Erikson, humans go through the final stage in old age called \'integrated breakdown.\' Through this, one looks back into their life and recognizes meaning of life to achieve self integration. If not, they experience a breakdown. In the case of United States, neighbors with church goers had lower blood pressure compared to neighbors that don\'t. This suggests that church is a societical element that alleviates stress. We can conclude from this that church can have possitive affects for people in that final stage of Erikson\'s “integrated breakdown.” Using these experiments as a background, we suggest to develope a church for the old age that will help them recognize the positives affects of church going.! Secondly, we suggest the need for developing more varieties of pastoring the old aged.
