The aim of this study is to examine of the mediating effects of Group Cohesiveness among Job
Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, Organizational Citizenship Behavior(Organizationally-directed
(OCBO) and Individually-directed(OCBI) Citizenship Behavior). In addition, this study also tests the
relationship between Group Cohesiveness and OCBO and OCBI. In order to gain the above-mentioned
purpose, survey data were collected from 621 employees in Gyeongbuk region. The statistical tools to be
used to this research were frequency analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis
using the statistical package of SPSS 21.0. The results showed that the independent variables of
organizational commitment and job satisfaction has a significantly positive effect on group cohesiveness
and both dependent variables OCBO and OCBI. Moreover, the mediating variable group cohesiveness has
a significantly positive effect on both dependent variables OCBO and OCBI. Further, we found out that
a mediating effect of group cohesiveness. Through those results, we found out that group cohesiveness
has a partial mediating role between Independent variables, such as Job Satisfaction and Organizational
Commitment, and Dependent variables, such as OCBO and OCBI. Finally, based on the above findings,
theoretical and practical implications of the group cohesiveness in this research model were meaningful
factor at the workplace. None the less, implication and limitations of this research for future study were
discussed.
