This qualitative study is to investigate the meaning of Bookstart program for infants. The experience of Bookstart program was analyzed in two aspects, for infants and their mothers(grandmothers). For infants, it has the meaning of ‘experience of book as the source of joy’, ‘autonomous exploration of book’, ‘chance to imitate’, and ‘recognition of peers’. And for their mothers it has the meaning of ‘chance to change and learning’; ‘recognition on the meaning of book for infants’, ‘exchange of information about raising kids’, ‘knowing how to play with their kids’ and ‘understanding about infant development’ and ‘beneficial going out’. Bookstart program can be rolled as a media to relate infant with environment, and gives mothers chances to learn and change knowledge, skill and attitude to raise their children.
