The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of education activity interchange between
kindergarten and kindergarten on young children\'s reading ability.
For the purpose, the following research questions were established:
1. What does the Education activity interchange between kindergarten and kindergarten affect young
children\'s reading ability?
The Subjects were 50 five year old children(experimental group 25 and control group 25) attending
elementary school annexed kindergarten which is located in Hwa-seong in the Gyeong-gi province. The
age ranges he subjects were between 5 years 8 months and 6 years 7 months and average were 5 year
11 months. Experimental group play the education activity interchange with 34 five year old children
attending elementary school annexed kindergarten which is located in An-yang in the Gyeong-gi
province, control group play activity used life themes and didn\'t interchage. Eighteen experimental
treatments had been given to the subjects for 13 weeks, from September, 17th to December, 14th, 2007.
The Instruments used in this study was used for reading ability was a score conformity (Lee, 1997)
of classification Scheme for emergent reading by Sulzby(1985) and informal test
To evaluate the research questions, a t-test were applied after calculating the standard deviation.
The results of this study were as follows:
First, education activity interchange between kindergarten and kindergarten
was positively influenced of young children\'s reading activity.
