The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between adult attachment and
psychological wellbeing and to confirm the mediating effect of ego resilience in the
relationship. For the study, a survey about adult attachment, ego resilience, and
psychological wellbeing was carried out of 200 middle school teachers who were working at
Busan. SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 7.0 were used for statistical analysis of data. The main results
were as the followings. First, attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety had negative
effects on both ego resilience and psychological wellbeing, and there was positive
relationship between ego resilience and psychological wellbeing. Second, ego resilience
meditated the relationship between middle school teacher' attachment and psychological
wellbeing fully. In conclusion, it was found that psychological wellbeing was different
according to adult attachment types. Therefore, even though there is a problem with the
attachment, psychological wellbeing can be gained by increasing ego resilience.
