This study aimed to develop Korean Case Management Standard as a common practice guidelines for the purpose of preventing confusion of case management practice in various social work settings and performing it with consensus conception and principals. Literature review, focus group interview and delphi survey was conducted as research methods. Subjects of the study were social workers in Cheonan and Incheon and professors who have rich practice and study experience in case management. As a results of the study, Korean standard for case management was composed with 12 categories: 1) concept of case management, 2) qualification of case manager, 3) value and ethics, 4) knowledge and theory, 5) operating system, 6) intake, 7) assessment, 8) service planning and performing, 9) monitoring, 10) evaluation and case closing, 11) case quantity, 12) professional development and prevention of burn-out. This standard tend to exploratory study which can contribute to provide a basis of discussion for development of standard for case management in Korea. Follow-up studies focused on testifying the validity of this standard and developing it continuously are needed.
