진로 선택을 위한 진로 지도 과정은 중학교에서 고등학교 진학 결정을 위한 학교 선택의 문제, 고등학교 1학년을 마치고 2학년을 진급할 때의 인문계 또는 자연계의 진로선택, 대학 진학에서의 전공학과 선택의 문제, 그리고 취업에 있어서 직종과 직무의 선택 문제 등 일련의 다양한 과정에서 이루어진다. 본 연구는 진로지도 과정에서 고등학교의 선택이라는 진로탐색에 대한 인식이 가장 절실하게 필요한 시기인 중학교 3학년을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 부산광역시 소재 5개 지역교육청 내 중학교 3학년 1864명을 대상으로 2013년 3월에 실시한 한국가이던스의 Holland 진로탐색검사 결과를 활용하여 남녀 성별에 따른 진로 인식과 진로 유형 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 중학교 3학년 학생들의 성별에 따라 남학생보다 여학생의 진로정체성이 높게 나타나 여학생들이 본인의 성격이나 적성의 성향을 잘 알고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 남학생들은 진로선택이 덜 된 경우나 신중한 진로 선택에 대한 교육이 필요한 수치가 높은 것으로 나타났다. RIASEC으로 불리는 6가지 성격유형 백분율 분포를 살펴보면, 사회형(S)형> 예술형(A)> 기업형(E)> 관습형(C)> 탐구형(I)> 실재형(R) 순으로 나타나 남녀 학생 모두 사회형(S)의 진로를 선호한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 1차, 2차 진로코드를 분석한 결과, 가장 많은 학생들이 분류된 진로코드는 SA, SS, SE, AS, SC 순이었다. 이러한 결과들은 진로진학상담 시 연관성이 높은 직업군을 소개하거나 개인의 적성에 적합한 방향으로 진로를 선택하도록 조언하고 상담하는 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 각각의 흥미 유형의 특성에 적합한 학습 환경 구성이나 진로 교육자료 및 프로그램 개발의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
The career guidance for the choice of career is practiced in various processes such as the school choice from the middle school to the high school, the course choice between humanities and nature course when first grade high school students become second grade, the major selection at the university and the choice for the type of job and function when getting a job. This study is for the third grade middle school students who desperately need to recognize the career exploration for the high school choice. It has done a comparative analysis in career recognition and results of career types based on gender using survey results of Holland's Career exploration Scale of Korean Guidance, which was carried out on 1864 students in third grade from 5 middle schools in Busan in March, 2013. The survey which based on gender shows that the career identities of female students are higher than that of male students. This means that female students know more about their characters and aptitude than male students. The survey also shows that male students have higher level of incomplete career choices and need more education about careful career choice. According to percentage distribution of 6 types of character called REASEC, the order is Social > Artistic > Enterprising > Conventional > Investigative > Realistic. It implies that both male and female students prefer Social career. An analysis of the first and secondary career code shows that the most students were classified as in order of SA/SS/SE/AS/SC. These results can be used as materials for counseling when practicing career counseling. It can help students to recommend occupational cluster, which is high correlation with them or choosing suitable career way for individual aptitude. Furthermore, this can be utilized as base data to develop the appropriate study environment which is suitable for each vocational interest types and career education materials and programs.
