The purposes of this study were to examine the trends in the views of teaching profession, to analyse a difference among the views of teaching profession of the limit times teachers as a major subject, the prospective teachers of teachers' college, and elementary school teachers, and then to compare the views of teaching profession of elementary school teachers in 1993 with those in 1999. The results of the study were as follows : Firstly, 1)The view of technical profession was an overwhelming majority in the trends of the views of teaching profession. 2)There was a significant difference among the views of teaching profession of the limit times teachers, the prospective teachers, and elementary school teachers. In the comparison of views of teaching profession, OThe view of technical profession of the limit times teachers appeared very high. QThe view of sacred profession of the prospective teachers was very high. @The view of blue collar profession of elementary school teachers showed very high level. As for the view of sacred profession, the rate of the prospective teachers and elementary school teachers was similar, while that of the limit times teachers was relatively low. Secondary, there was no significant difference of the views of teaching profession of the limit times teachers, the prospective teachers, and elementary school teachers from the point of the demographical variables in each group. Thirdly, there was analogy between the trends in the views of teaching profession of elementary school teachers 1993 and those in 1999.
