This study aims at examing the meaning and the characteristics of the ARCS strategy in order to help to help a learner to actively partivipate in the physical education class.
the ARCS Model of Motivational Design. developed by John M. Keller of Florida State University. is a systematic model for designing motivating instruction. The ARCS Model identifies four essential strategy components for motivating instruction : attention strategies for arousing and sustaining curiosity and interest: relecanve strategies that link to learners\' needs.
interests, and motives; confidence strategies that help students develop a positive expectation for successful achievement; and satisfaction stragegies that provied extrinsic and intrinsic reinforcement for effort.
A class of rhythm and expression activities of physical education was selected and an ARCS strategy was established. Positive follo-up reserch as an effective learning method thfough field research is needed.
