국문초록

본 연구는 사회복지실천 장면에서 상담의 중요성에 의해 그 실천적 대안으로서 사회복지상담 의 정체성, 사회복지실천과 상담 간의 연관성을 밝히고 사회복지상담의 발전과제를 제시한 연 구이다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 사회사업과 임상사회사업, 사회복지실천에서의 상담에 대하여 이론 적 배경을 탐색하였다. 둘째, 사회복지상담의 개념과 특성 및 사회복지상담과 심리상담의 구 별, 사회복지상담의 기술을 고찰하였다. 셋째, 사회복지상담의 발전과제를 제시하였다. 사회복 지상담은 사회복지실천 장면에서 사회복지사가 사회복지실천의 가치에 토대하여 개인과 가족, 집단을 대상으로 제반의 상담이론과 기법을 적용함으로써 내담자의 사회적 기능을 향상시키 고자 하는 일정기간의 원조관계로 정의하였다. 사회복지상담의 발전을 위한 과제로는 사회복 지상담 교육의 확대와 사회복지기관의 심리상담 업무를 강화하고 상담전문가로서의 정체성 확보의 노력과 사회복지사의 유능성 확보에 사회복지상담을 적극 활용할 것 등을 제시하였다

영문초록

This study discloses the identity of social work counseling and its association with social work practices - as the practical alternatives on a basis of the importance of counseling in social work practices. Also, it provides the developmental assignment for social work counseling. For this, the authors firstly ferreted out the theoretical background of counseling in social service, clinical social work, and social work practices. Second, the authors looked deeper into the concept and characteristic of social work counseling, differentiation between social work and psychological counseling, and special skill for it. Last, the authors provided the developmental assignment for social work counseling. Social work counseling, in social work practicing environment, is defined as certain period of supporting relationship time when social worker, based on the value of social work practices, improves client’s social functions by applying counseling theories and techniques to individuals, families, and groups. Assignments for development of social work counseling are expansion of social work counseling education, reinforcement of psychological counseling tasks in social work institutions, effort of consultants to establish their identity, and active application of social work counseling for social workers in securing their competence.
