본 연구에서는 알츠하이머 치매환자에게 동영상 회상치료를 적용했을 때 기억력과 우울에 어떠한 변화를 나타내는지 비교해 보고자 한다. 전남에 요양병원에서 재활치를 받고 있는 알츠하이머 치매환자 22명을 대상으로 1주일에 5회씩 8주간 실시하였다. 중재 전·후 기억력을 비교하기 위해 CARDS를 시행하였고, 우울에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 한국판 노인우울척도 검사를 실 시하여 분석하였다. 알츠하이머 치매환자들은 단어 지연 회상을 제외한 모든 항목에서 기억력이 유의하게 증가되었고, 우울 또한 유의하게 감소하였다. 알츠하이머 치매환자에게 동영상 회상치료가 기억력에 효과적인 것으로 사료되며, 기억력 증진이 우울에 영 향을 미칠 수 있으므로 알츠하이머 치매환자에게 동영상회상 치료에 관한 고려가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
The aim of this study was to identify the effects of video reminiscence therapy on memory changes and depression levels in Alzheimer;'s dementia. Video reminiscence therapy was applied as five sessions a week over a eight-week period to twenty-two dementia inpatients of a nursing hospital in Junnam. To assess the changes in memory function, we performed Cognitive Assessment & Reference Diagnosis System(CARDS), and assessed depression using the Korean version of the Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS-K). The effects of depression and memory improved after the intervention of video reminiscence therapy. Alzheimer's dementia patients who received video reminiscence therapy showed greater declines in depression scores. Therefore consideration of video reminiscence therapy to Alzheimer's dementia patients may be needed.
