The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of making science newspaper on creativity. Two
classes of 5th grade elementary school were selected. Only experimental class made science newspaper
activity, which was performed 10 times including preliminary instruction two times. This activity was
performed in the following after last time of each unit. The results are as follows: First, making the
science newspaper activity did not snot give a significant impact on students' creativity, but task
commitment component of the creative personality among the sub-elements of creativity has had a
very significant impact. It impacted the fluency of the high group positively and creativity of middle
group positively. According to the post-survey of the students, they considered very positive for
making science newspapers, by experiencing on the improvement of the cooperation, responsibility,
and science achievement through in these activities. According to analysis the process of making science
newspapers and students' learning outcomes, they showed lively and mutual cooperation during the
newspaper production process. As the students continued the making science newspaper activity several
times the articles, they produced diversified and improved design features. Also descriptive writing
about scientific concepts was increasingly embodied and approached to structured writing. Making
science newspaper activity is considered to give a positive effect on improvement of creativity.
