본 연구의 목적은 과학 신문 만들기가 창의력 신장에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 있다. 이 를 위하여 초등학교 5학년 2개 학급을 선정한 후 실험반에 대하여 소집단별로 과학신문 만들 기 수업을 사전지도 2차시를 포함하여 모두 10차시 동안 수행하였으며 신문 만들기 활동은 단원 정리활동으로서 재량활동시간에 이루어졌다. 그 결과를 보면, 과학신문 만들기 활동은 학생들의 창의성 신장에 유의미한 영향을 주지 못했으나, 창의성의 하위요소 중에서 창의적 성격의 구성요소인 과제집착력에는 매우 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 집단별로 살펴볼 때 상위집 단에서는 창의적 능력의 하위요소인 유창성의 신장에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고 중위집단에서 도 창의성 신장에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들의 사후 인식조사 결과 학생들은 협동 심과 책임감의 향상, 과학성적의 향상 등을 경험함으로써 과학신문 만들기에 대해 매우 긍정 적으로 생각하였다. 과학신문 만들기의 과정을 보면 신문제작과정이 활기차고 상호 협동적인 모습을 보였다. 학생들의 학습산출물을 보면 신문의 제작 횟수가 늘어감에 따라 기사의 종류 가 다양해지고 과학적 개념에 대한 설명적 글쓰기가 점점 구체화되어지고 구조화된 글쓰기에 접근하는 것을 볼 수 있었다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of making science newspaper on creativity. Two classes of 5th grade elementary school were selected. Only experimental class made science newspaper activity, which was performed 10 times including preliminary instruction two times. This activity was performed in the following after last time of each unit. The results are as follows: First, making the science newspaper activity did not snot give a significant impact on students' creativity, but task commitment component of the creative personality among the sub-elements of creativity has had a very significant impact. It impacted the fluency of the high group positively and creativity of middle group positively. According to the post-survey of the students, they considered very positive for making science newspapers, by experiencing on the improvement of the cooperation, responsibility, and science achievement through in these activities. According to analysis the process of making science newspapers and students' learning outcomes, they showed lively and mutual cooperation during the newspaper production process. As the students continued the making science newspaper activity several times the articles, they produced diversified and improved design features. Also descriptive writing about scientific concepts was increasingly embodied and approached to structured writing. Making science newspaper activity is considered to give a positive effect on improvement of creativity.
