The purpose of this study was to examing how much teachers were interested in the 7th national physical education curricula and capitalized in them, in an effort to find out to what extent the curricula were put in proatice and what caused even interested teachers to be less reliant on them.
The subjects in this study were 200 teachers in charge of physical education for grades 3,4,5 and 6 from north Gyeongsang province. After a survey was conducted, the responses from 171 teachers were chosen for analysis except for incomplete answer sheets.
The collected data were analyzed with SPSS Win( statistical package for the social science Ve 10.0) program, The frequency, mean and standard deviation were calculated, and multiple regression analysis,t - test, one - way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA were exployed.
The findings of this study were as below:
First, 11.11% of the teachers investigated were indifferent to the 7th national physical education curricula, and 28.97 % wwere just interested in their own role(1st and 2nd stages). 16.22 % were in the initiating structure stage, and 39.96% had interest in the curricula\'s impact on dstudents, collegue teachers and local commucity ( 4th, 5th and 6th stages).
Overall, the teachers were increasingly interested in the physical education curricula, which could be said to be in the stage of concern for the curricula\'s influence. This phenomenon seemed to be very encouraging.
Second, the raes of utilizing a seprific part of the 7th national curricula were as follows:
18.46% for instructional objective area, 12.32 % for content area, 28.50 % for instructional method, 12.95% for teaching materials and 16.85 % for evaluation.
As a whole, the teachers got accustomed to using the curricula The content and material areas were put to the leasst use, and objective, method and evaluation areas were in wider use.
