본 연구에서는 컴퓨터기반 운동탐지기기를 이용한 행동억제능력 평가과제를 개발하고, 구성 타당도와 공존 타당도를 검증하는 연구를 진행하였다. 인터넷 광고를 보고 참여의사를 밝힌 만 5-7세 일반 아동 총 67명을 모집하였고, 이들에게 컴퓨터기반 운동탐지기기를 이용한 행동억제능력 평가과제와 기존의 표준화된 검사도구인 스트룹 아동색상-단어 검사(Stroop Color and Word Test)를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 연령이 5세에서 7세로 증가함에 따라 반응의 정확도가 증가하는 결과를 보여, 기존에 잘 알려져 있는 신경인지기능의 발달적 경향성에 부합하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 본 평가과제는 행동억제능력을 평가 하는 기존의 표준화된 검사도구와 .28 - .30 정도의 통계적으로 유의미한 상관을 보이고 있어, 행동억제 능력을 평가하는 도구로서 공존 타당도를 가지고 있음을 시사해 주었다. 전체적으로 본 연구의 결과는 컴퓨터기반 운동탐지기기를 이용한 아동의 행동억제능력 평가도구가 타당성이 있으며, 일반아동의 인지 기능상의 문제를 조기에 진단하고 개입하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
This study was conducted to develop the response inhibition task using computer-based motion detection and to evaluate the construct and concurrent validity of it. Sixty-seven 5- to 7-year-old children who agreed to participate in this study were recruited by internet. They had been successively administered a newly developed response inhibition task using computer-based motion detection and existing standardized ‘Stroop Color and Word Test’. The main results were: 1) There are marked linear increasing trends of the response accuracy with age from 5 to 7 years, which was confirmed to be consistent with the neurocognitive developmental trend. 2) There were significant correlations between scores of the motion detection cognitive tasks and corresponding scores of STROOP test(r=.28 - .30), which could be suggesting that newly developed response inhibition task have a concurrent validity. Finally, This study provides promising evidence for the utility of the response inhibition task using computer-based motion detection as an assessment tool for children. And this task could be used to evaluate cognitive training effect enhancing response inhibition in preschool-aged children.
