본 연구는 퍼포먼스를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 창의성과 또래유능성에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 그 효과를 검증 해 봄으로써 실제 유아교육 현장에서 활용 가능한 미술교육의 교수학습방법을 모색하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 만 5세 유아 41명을 대상으로 실험집단에는 퍼포먼스를 활용한 미술활동을 실시하고 비교집단에는 전통적인 미술활동을 실시한 뒤 유아의 창의성 검사와 또래유능성 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 퍼포먼스를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 창의력 전체 점수와 모든 하위영역인 유창성, 민감성, 독창성, 개방성에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 퍼포먼스를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 또래유능성 전체 점수와 모든 하위영역인 사교성, 친사회성, 주도성에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of art activities utilizing performance on young children's creativity and peer competence. The subjects of this research were a total of 41 young children at age 5 from two classes in S child care center, which is located in G city. The subjects were randomly assigned to two groups. The collected data were analyzed by t-test using SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows: the experimental group which conducted art activities utilizing performance on young children's creativity showed significantly higher improvement of young children’s creativity and peer competence. Therefore, it could be concluded that art activities utilizing performance contributed to the development of young children's creativity and peer competence.
