본 연구는 중, 고등학생에게 적합한 학업열의척도를 개발하고, 그 타당성을 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기 지역의 중, 고등학생 383명을 대상으로 1차 설문조사한 뒤, 문항분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 헌신, 활기, 효능감, 몰두로 구성된 한국형학업열의척도가 개발되었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 한국형학업열의척도는 기존의 학업열의척도와 달리 헌신, 활기, 몰두라는 3요인 외에 효능감이라는 요인이 추가되었다. 이를 중, 고등학생 657명을 대상으로 설문실시한 후, 확인적 요인분석을 통해 요인구조를 확인하였으며, 학업소진척도와의 상관관계를 통해 공인 타당도를 검증하였다. 이상을 통해 한국형학업열의척도는 신뢰롭고 타당한 척도임이 증명되었으며, 이를 바탕으로 본 연구가 가지고 있는 의의와 제한점 그리고 향후 연구에 대한 제안점을 제시하였다.
The purpose of the present study is to develop and validate Korean version of Academic Engagement Inventory for middle and high school students. At first survey, 383 middle and high school students were recruited and item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were performed. Four dimensions were identified; vigour, dedication, efficacy, and absorption. Efficacy dimension was identified beyond the three dimensions of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-Student. At the secondary survey, using confirmatory factor analysis, the four-factor structure was supported and it is strongly correlated with four dimensions of academic burnout inventory. The results suggest that the Korea version of academic engagement inventory(KAEI) has both reliable and valid inventory. Finally, several implications, limitations and suggestions for the future study were discussed.
