This study investigated the elementary school students perceptions and experiences of Taekwondo classes as a part of physical education in remote rural areas. The participants of this study were 6th graders in K elementary school located in jeonnam. The data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interview, student\'s class diary of Taekwondo classes. The data were transcribed and coded for inductive content analysis. Through descriptive, interpretive, and evaluative analyses of the data, four major themes emerged regarding the students perceptions in Taekwondo lessons. Major findings can be summarized as follows: (1) time which fostering courage, confidence, patience (2) fun time (3) unwilling time (4) time to need respect to each other. This four major themes comes from several factors such as diversity character in a Taekwondo classes, interaction with friends, and interaction with teachers.
