This study is the case study to examine the effect of group art therapy program through cooperation on
interpersonal relationship of children with emotional?behavioral problems. The subjects have been aimed
at 4 elementary school students of 4th to 6th grade that have been commissioned in OO mental health
center of J city, who have emotional behavioral problems. The group art therapy program has proceeded
aimed at subjects for 60 minutes once a week, totally 14 times. To assess the effect of program,
‘relationship change scale’ and KSD(Kinetic School Drawing) have been used to analyze by comparing pre
and post test. The results are as follows. First, as a result of examining the effect of group art therapy
through cooperation on interpersonal relation of children with emotional?behavioral problems, the group
art therapy program turns out to improve interpersonal relationship of children with emotional?behavioral
problems. A follow-up study is suggested to be conducted through art therapy programs utilizing various
media as well as the program design and application of group art therapy considering specific of features
depending on the types of children’s emotional and behavioral problems.
