The aim of this report is to present the problems and improvements in the early childhood teacher training and appointment system in Korea based on the viewpoint of the Korean early shildhood care and education system.
The early childhood care and education system model in Korea is the two parrell systems model, \" Anglo American model\" model has implemented in the United States, the United Kingdom, Cancada, and Japan.
This model is different from the other two models, that is , the one intergated system followed in Sweden and Finland and the two seperate age-related systems mode followed in France, Germany, Italy , Poland, Soviet Union,North Korea, etc.
The early childhood care and education system model in Korea is not only to care and educate young children based on the market principle toward orientation of the conservative vapitalism, but also to devide between the day care center system for the young children of sorking mothers supervised by the Ministry of Health and social Affairs and thekindergarten system for the young children from year to compulsory school age supervised by the Ministry of Education.
The current problems in the early childhood teacher training and appointment system in Korea result from the Korean early childhood care and education system and the lacks of the pyblic and administrative officials\' understanking about early childhood care and educaion.
